Brother Samuel Mwiwawi found himself in a Megacity: Brooklyn, NY. He now serves as a pastoral assistant for the Diocese of Brooklyn, NY at Brooklyn Catholic Charities program for deaf people and also as a parish assistant at St. Catherine of Genoa Parish where he lives.
He reports that he loves his job as a Pastoral Worker for the Deaf, learning more about the Deaf Apostolate in a very large busy Diocese of Brooklyn where there are over 200 churches in a 30 mile radius.
He is now mastering his ASL skills and hopes to become an ordained priest next year for the Deaf Ministry.
